Now, not only Greek mythology yields interesting words, the classics too, are commonly quoted and called upon to illustrate and explain situations. You have to be widely read, or at least, you can google the classics and add them slowly to your collection.

I use again the same article “Mad Max and the Narcissism epidemic”

http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/17kok/Article/

The writer alludes to
1. “Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw,….”but he would also work to mould her, Pygmalio-like, into a pop star”
2. Homer’s ” Illiad” for a quote :”Sweeter wrath is by far..”
3. Valentino (the great self-lover)

and you can use words like Cassanova, quixotic (from Don Quixote) which is found in another article

“Nothing Quixotic about his ideas” page 19 Nation, New Straits Time, Saturday July 17, 2010.

KUALA LUMPUR: Daniel Cerventus Lim's name is his calling card. It helps break the ice in introductions besides leaving an indelible impression on those he meets.

The self-confessed computer geek and active technopreneur adopted Cerventus as an online screen name in his teenage years, borrowing it from Miguel de Cervantes, the Spanish author of Don Quixote.

Daniel Cerventus Lim has borrowed his name from Miguel de Cervantes, the Spanish author of Don Quixote.

He has started a successful IT business, so there is nothing quixotic about his name because of his success. (Don Quixote was a bumbling simpleton who stumbled along with his crazy ideas which did not work at all).

Pinjam perkataan dari cerita klassik kerana di sinilah terdapat banyak perkataan seperti pygmalion, quixotic, cassanova dan valentine (dari Valentino)…dan banyakl agi.
